HI, I AM PRISCILA

… Mom, Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, and founder at Baby To Table Nutrition. My focus is on child and family nutrition. I completed my dietetics training both here in the US, and in Brazil where I am originally from. I earned a Masters' degree in Nutrition from Florida State University. At home my life is also all about feeding babies and toddlers. My husband and I have three small children. I am passionate about supporting families in their goal of feeding their little ones as healthfully as they can.

Baby To Table Nutrition started with my first baby. He was 5 months old, and we had got into a pretty good milk feed routine. And one day, he suddenly  grabs a piece of pita bread out of my plate while we were having lunch in one of my favorite restaurants. Then I realized that very soon we would need to start adding solid foods into his diet. Being a dietitian, the milestone of starting solids was on my radar, but I didn't have a game plan yet. I have had formal training on infant feeding in college, I had already read different baby books, including books about starting solids. However, I was trying to establish our breastfeeding relationship, survive sleepless nights, and navigate all the unknowns that come with being a new parent. Developing a plan to start solids just didn’t make it to the top of my priority list during the first months of life of our little one.

When I first started looking at what was out there to help with the process of starting solid foods, I couldn't find a lot of high quality and evidence-based services at the time. I really couldn’t find the answers I was looking for in just one easy and reliable place.

There are so many opinions, varying “solutions”, and methods out there - saying do this or don’t do that or judging your parenting skills based on which feeding approach you choose.
The truth is what works for one baby and their family, doesn't always work for the next. It's not just about experience, but also current scientific evidence and professional guidance. These are the things that help us know we are doing what is safe and ultimately lead to long term success!

That’s why I started Baby To Table Nutrition! Starting from baby’s first bites, I want to provide busy parents and caregivers with proven tools and the simple steps needed to make eating good food fun while cultivating strong families.  Everything you want (and need) to know to feed your little one, all in one place.

Have a look around, you will find great resources to help you feed your precious baby with confidence and bring more joy to the family table. Happy Eating!
